October 23, 2017 Dear Parents and Guardians, I hope everyone had a terrific weekend. As you know Mrs. Boyd, who taught Art for 26 years at SJF, is retiring. The students are sad to hear of this, but understand that people retire after working for so many years. They made cards for her and a poster with drawings that were taught to them by Mrs. Boyd. 8th grade will be selling pizza for $5 after school this Friday, Oct. 20, 2017.
Please bring in 2 three pound bags of candy by October 26th. The candy cannot have peanuts or peanut butter and no pinata candy bags. Thank you!

October 16, 2017 Dear Parents and Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend. Halloween is fast approaching. This year Halloween will be a minimum day (12:40pm dismissal). The costume parade begins at 10am. Students are allowed to wear their costumes to school. Please make sure to avoid costumes with overly violent themes or be suggestive or offensive. Students must wear laced tennis shoes with their costumes at all times. Also no masks are allowed at any time while on school grounds including the Halloween Harvest Festival. After the parade, students will go back to class to be picked up at 11am by a parent or guardian. The Halloween Harvest Festival will begin at 11am and end at 12:40pm. Students must be with their parent or guardian during the Halloween Harvest Festival. Thank you for your cooperation. This week we will be:

The food will go to the local animal shelter.
The 8th graders will be selling pizza for $5 this Friday, Oct. 6th. The pizza includes your choice of pepperoni or cheese pizza, bottled water or juice, and a small bag of chips. All proceeds will support the 8th grade class. Thank you for your support! |
